Elaine's back teeth
Mike was helping Elaine brush her teeth last night and he said, "Did you brush your back teeth?" Elaine: "Oh yeah!!" And she reached around and brushed her back.

What you get for $24.00 at Bountiful Baskets
How we realized it had been too long since we'd had a backyard
When we moved here, we mentioned that one day Jackson would learn how to use the lawnmower.
Jackson: "What's a lawnmower?"
Me: "It mows, or cuts, the lawn."

Zoo stories
Mike took Jackson & Elaine to the Wildlife World Zoo yesterday afternoon. Here are some highlights I was told when they returned:
Upon entering the petting zoo, a cute little goat tried to snack on Elaine's shirt. This made her very angry! She tried scolding the goat by yelling, "No! No!" (The goat didn't listen.)
Jackson loved the new aquarium. (This is the 2nd time he's been there. The first was on a field trip this year.) He keeps talking about petting the sea star. For today anyway, it is his new favorite animal.
When walking towards the warthog exhibit, Mike said, "Elaine, look at those!" Her response was said with big, wonder-filled eyes and a whisper: "Monsters...."

Helen's here!!
Helen Michelle joined our family on April 23, 2009 weighing 8 lbs, 13 oz and was 20" long. Mom and baby were healthy from start to finish, and big brother and sister are adjusting well. Mike took two weeks off, which has been so wonderful. So far (a week later), Helen barely makes a peep. Mom has to wake her for each feeding. We have yet to hear a "real cry" from her, and when she is awake she is just so cute. I've posted some pics from the first few days below.
